We were able to send three teams down to the Uni games in Wellington (Two men and one Woman team) in 2006. The top men’s team came second in a close fight for the top 3 places. The second men’s team came 5th and the women’s team just missed the medals at the fourth position but overall I think Badminton was the winner on the day.

Massey badminton Competition

For the Massey tournament in the year 2006, we managed to book all of the courts for the day’s duration. This facilitated about 50 people playing, and some very strong competition. Fun was had by all and at the end of the day Badminton was the winner.

interclub

For those of you that were not here in the summer 2005, we ran two league teams, each of which was in a league of its own, winning both grades with ease.
In 2006 we placed four teams in the interclub competition: Two in B grade and two in C grade. Massey 4 come an astonishing 1st in the C grade, while as for the rest of us, I suppose we had a fun time fighting it out at the bottom of the table, which after all made Badminton the winner on the day.
